Historically, Alberta tourism product information had been managed by disparate interest groups, government departments, associations and marketing partners. Inconsistency in data quality, format and unavailability resulted in challenges to effectively market of the diverse range of Alberta's tourism experiences.


Travel Alberta created a platform to better manage our partners’ product content, while seamlessly distributing this content to marketing channels that consumers use to plan vacations.


The ATIS (Alberta Tourism Information Service) platform, was developed from the ground up in 2016. It addresses the need to amalgamate and standardize Alberta’s tourism product into a single, easy-to-use platform that our partners could freely access to promote their businesses online.
