When logging in to Admin, the homepage serves as a dashboard of key information and tasks.

The Main Navigation is broken down into the following sections:

  • Action Centre
  • Listings
  • Events
  • Offers
  • Articles
  • Messages
  • Reports
  • Admin
  • Resources

Action Centre

The Action Centre is where Call Centre staff and Administrators manage their workflow and tasks. Below are the main sections within the Action Centre, in order of highest priority tasks to lowest:

  1. Pending Approval - All Listings and Events submitted by for approval by ATIS users will be listed here. Reviewing and approving pending items is a high priority and time-sensitive, as we strive to provide timely and outstanding service to all ATIS users. Pending Approvals are priority one as Agents are expected to respond to partners’ submissions within 48 hours.
  2. Flagged Items - This area aggregates items that a Call Centre or Administrator may flag for their own follow-up. It provides for an opportunity to identify items for future follow-up. This is the second priority for Agents.
  3. Stagnant / Stale Content - This section aggregates content that has expired, or is older than 365 days. Stale content requires review and outreach to the content owner to remind them and support them in updating the content. If content expires but is still accurate and up-to-date, it can be opened and re-saved, which signals to the system that the item has been updated and it will be removed from this queue.
  4. Inactive Accounts - This area aggregates accounts that have not been activated. These require outreach to account owners to support their onboarding and engagement with ATIS.

Listings, Events, Offers, Articles - Sections in ATIS Admin

Each section contains a full list of the content contained in ATIS by content type. From here, you can filter content based on content ID, Category, Type, Language, Status, City/Town, Modified Date or Listing Health Score.

Each of the content items in ATIS has a unique ID. Once entered, this ID never changes.

Content Item Detail Page

Once you choose a specific content item, you will be directed to the item detail page. An item’s details are pulled into separate tabs and change depending on the content type and the information available for the item. The following is an overview of the tabs you may see on a specific content item:

Item Actions

The Item Actions tab outlines the actions required on that item. If an item is in draft, but has a published version available, you will be able to toggle between the published version and the draft version of a published item. If the item is newly submitted, you will only see the draft version.

Listing Notes

Lists any internal notes for the item. You can also add a new internal note and flag for a follow-up date.

Content Summary

Displays the content entered into each of the ATIS content fields. Content fields include Content Status (Draft, Published, Requires Information, Archived, Deleted), images, map rendering, Item ID, Language, Last Published Date, Created On date, Modified Date, Link Name, Created By, City/Town, Category, Type, Postal Code, Phone Number, Primary URL, Social URLs, Listing Description, Health Score (Listing only), Event Dates (Events only) and Offer Price (Offer Only).

Data Provider

ATIS is equipped with a feature that allows content to be pulled into ATIS from a third-party source, which Travel Alberta calls a ‘Data Provider’. Currently the only content types that can be managed by a Data Provider are Listings.  If a Listing is managed by a Data Provider, the organization would be listed here.

Translations

If a piece of content is translated, it will be listed in a table on this page. By translating content you can change the content title and description to one of the languages that are supported by Travel Alberta. Translations appear in the foreign language site for that country.

Tour Operator (Offers Only; Admin Side Only)

You can enter a Tour Operator name here. The name you enter here will appear alongside the Offer in small text when viewed on travelalberta.com.

Retargeting (Offers only; Admin Side Only)

Retargeting was added to support a marketing function. Retargeting copy is the copy that is used in our Re-marketing campaigns banner, which is automatically pulled from travelalberta.com.

Additional Tags (Events only; Admin Side only)

Includes ‘Signature Event’ tag. Travel Alberta will apply this status to events listing. This is viewable in Admin only.

Messages

The Messages section displays any Announcements and Notifications for this content item.

  • Announcements - This is content sent from the ATIS team to partners. Anything internally used with an ATIS tool will show up to partners – things like communicating updates to the tool.
  • Notifications - The notifications centre contains a running history of the content updates. This includes the name and date of the user who initiated updates, along with who approved them.

ATIS Reports

The ATIS Reports section tracks Qualified Travellers (QTs) or Engagements for all of the content in ATIS. Reports are powered by Google Analytics Premium and refreshed daily.

There are two types of Reports found in this section:

  • Performance – tracks Qualified Travellers
  • Articles – Tracks Article Engagements.

Article Engagements refer to the number of times a visitor has viewed a specific article.

Agents are welcome to share QT numbers with a partner on their specific content, but not the total QTs for all content in ATIS from this report. The reason is that the totals represented in this table have not been scrubbed for possible duplicate tracking, and therefore it is not an accurate representation of the total QTs Travel Alberta drives to partners during the timeframe specified.

Data Providers

Partners can take back their ability to manage Listing content through ATIS, but this request should be directed to the Travel Alberta team for more information.

The ATIS team will approve content attached to a Data Provider.
