ATIS is available to all Travel Alberta partners. These are businesses that provide tourism-related services or tourism product that aligns with our Categories and Types.

ATIS users range from small tourism operators (e.g.: ranchers, B&B owners, restaurateurs, etc.) to large scale travel agencies and tour operators that package product for resale in their respective markets.

Overview of ATIS users, and how we typically work with each:

Individual Tourism Providers and Suppliers

Tourism provider or tourism supplier refers to the specific businesses that delivers the tourism product or service to the consumer.

Suppliers run or manage the attractions, accommodations or other tourism businesses, and are in charge of developing and maintaining the product for consumer consumption. Tourism suppliers may sell their product to tour operators, to be packaged with other travel components. Packages or stand-alone product is then marketed through travel agents or direct to consumer. Tourism suppliers typically add and manage just their own ATIS listings, offers or events.

Tourism Consortiums or Alliances

Tourism consortiums are a group or collective that is charged with representing or marketing a specific niche or tourism area that does not necessarily align within a specific region. Examples of consortiums are The Alberta Culinary Tourism Alliance (ACTA), representing the culinary industry in Alberta, Alberta Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA), representing Alberta’s Hoteliers and other Accommodation providers, and the Alberta Ag Society, representing Alberta’s agricultural activities and communities.
