Export ready tourism product providers are engaged with (or equipped to engage with) third-party distributors such as tour operators, wholesalers, online travel agents and retailers in order to sell their product to international customers. They must have been in business for at least one year and have an adequate budget and marketing plan that includes international distribution channels. They must also hold appropriate licenses and/or insurance, have an online presence that represents their Alberta-based business, has the ability to accept payment from overseas, has appropriate language capabilities and is in a position to confirm product pricing and availability at least six months in advance.
