If an ATIS Listing does not have an active user listed on the account and does not fit within one of the exempt categories, the agent will be required to reach out to the business to encourage them to take responsibility for their ATIS content.
Step 1: Do a comparison of the ATIS content with what is on the partner site. Look at reporting for the content item and determine how the partner can position their content in ATIS (is the partner using ATIS to the full extent?).
Step 2: Search the business’ website to find a contact associated with an account. Ideally a phone number and email address.
Reach out to the Partner:
Scenario 1: The partner is interested in learning more and would like to update their listing (either now or at a follow-up date). Follow Outbound Calling procedure.
Scenario 2: Partner is not aware of content and is skeptical. Needs more information
Step 1: Key Messages: ATIS is a free marketing platform. Content added to ATIS appears on travelalberta.com, which receives an average of roughly 5 million visitors each year.
Step 2: Travel Alberta uses the content in ATIS to help consumers travelling to or already in the area make decisions on where to go and what to see.
Scenario 3: Partner requires more convincing:
Step 1: Relay stats; if Qualified Travellers are low for that partner, explain how the partner can improve their quality score or add additional content into ATIS.
If the partner does not want to add their listing, add an internal note to the record, and escalate to Travel Alberta for further action.
Scenario 4: Partner does not answer or you need to leave a message. Escalate to Travel Alberta for further action.
