Before Contacting the Partner
Step 1: Open listing; look at any notes on the file and go through the partner’s website to determine what Listings/Events/Offers they are eligible for and pull out key points for discussion.
Step 2: Open all the Listings, Events and Offers associated with the user. Check for duplicate Listings.
Step 3: If there are duplicates follow the Duplicates Procedure.
Step 4: Look through the Listing Report – examine Qualified Traveller and Health Score. If the Health Score is low, determine areas to improve.
Step 5: Determine if the description and images adhere to best practices.
Step 6: Determine which editor to contact (start with the listing history and choose the latest person to update the listing). If the phone number is missing, pull from the website.
Step 7: If there is no owner, research a contact.
Calling the Partner
Scenario 1: Partner: Can’t talk right now – flag for follow-up
Scenario 2: Partner: Do not want to be included on travelalberta.com
- Step 1: Present Value Proposition
- Step 2: Present Stats if applicable
- Step 3: Still do not want to be included on travelalberta.com - include internal note and escalate to TA staff.
Scenario 3: Partner is able to update now.
- Have the partner create an account
- Walkthrough content updates
Scenario 4: The business is no longer operating or is on hiatus for the time being.
- Step 1: No longer operating: Request Delete
- Step 2: On Hiatus: ‘Request Unpublish’
- Step 3: Do they have a new business they would like to submit?
